Terms and Conditions

1.  These Terms and Conditions apply to the Electrify with ActewAGL Discount – NSW Ducted Heating and Cooling Appliance (Offer).

2.  The Offer is available to ActewAGL customers when they upgrade an existing Eligible heating system with a new Eligible high efficiency system. Eligibile Appliances are contained in the table below (Eligible Appliances).

3.  The Offer is only available to NSW residents within the postcodes of 2618, 2619, 2620, 2621 for installations occurring after 12 August 2026 and may be withdrawn without notice.

4.  The Offer is not available to residential premises undergoing development or refurbishment under an existing development approval.

5.  The Offer is only available to ActewAGL customers who have an active electricity account with ActewAGL at the time of purchasing the Eligible Appliance.

7.  Where the applicable ActewAGL Discount includes an amount to be credited to a customer’s ActewAGL electricity account, the credit amount will be applied quarterly to the customer’s ActewAGL electricity account over the annual period as defined in the Eligible Appliances table above. Should the customer close their ActewAGL electricity account, the credit expires and will not be re-credited if the customer re-opens an ActewAGL electricity account at a later date. ActewAGL may make an exception and apply the remaining credit if evidence is provided to energyefficiency@actewagl.com.au demonstrating one of the following circumstances applies: the customer has relocated outside of the ActewAGL region, or the customer is deceased. If ActewAGL agrees to make an exception, any remaining credit will be applied to the finalised account and will be refunded through direct debit.

8.  If the customer moves to another property in NSW or the ACT and stays with ActewAGL, the credit on the electricity account will move with the customer. It is the customer’s sole responsibility to advise ActewAGL about the move to ensure that the credit will be credited to the new property.

9.  The Electrify with ActewAGL Discount (online only) off the costs of installation as specified in the Eligible Appliances table above applies to the person who is paying for the energy efficiency upgrade (if they are a holder of an ActewAGL electricity account). The credit on the ActewAGL electricity account applies to the person living in the property which received an energy efficiency upgrade. This can be an owner occupier or a tenant (if they are a holder of an ActewAGL electricity account).

10.  Existing appliances being replaced are required to be decommissioned and removed from the premises by the authorised installer.

11.  The eligibility of the appliances for installation is determined by the requirements of the NSW Energy Savings Scheme (ESS) Rule and the applicable conditions of the NSW Government's Safeguard Acceleration Program. 

12.  The Electrify with ActewAGL Discount (online only) offer is only available when a quote is requested and accepted from the below retailer through the Electrify with ActewAGL online platform.

13.  This Offer is not available for government projects, new homes, commercial projects or property developments. 

14.  To receive the ActewAGL Electrify with ActewAGL Discount (online only) as specified in the Eligible Appliances table above, the homeowner must sign the consumer declaration on the Energy Saver/Capacity Holder Nomination and Information Form and the Customer Consent Form on or before the date of the installation.

15.  Attendance may be required by the customer for a post installation inspection and customer handover. When an installer is at the property, a person over the age of 18 must be available and onsite at all times.

16.  ActewAGL reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time and remove or otherwise modify the Electrify with ActewAGL Discount (online only) as specified in the Eligible Appliances table above offered.

17.  All amounts include GST unless otherwise stated. 

18.  ActewAGL is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). ActewAGL collects personal information in order to conduct the Offer and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers and reward suppliers.
