Ray Hezkial, Interim Chief Executive Officer

Ray Hezkial is the Interim Chief Executive Officer of ActewAGL.

Ray brings more than two decades of experience serving the Canberra community through the utilities sector, joining Icon Water in 2003 and serving as Managing Director from 2018. During this time, he also supported ActewAGL through appointments to the ActewAGL Joint Venture Partnerships Board, and the boards of ActewAGL Retail Investments Pty Ltd and ActewAGL Distribution Investments Pty Ltd.

Ray has a strong background in engineering and infrastructure delivery. Prior to his appointment as Managing Director of Icon Water, he held a range of senior roles, including General Manager, Infrastructure Services, where he was responsible for significant capital works programs, network operations, and all aspects of the maintenance of the ACT’s water and sewer reticulation systems. He also played a key role as Project Manager for the Enlarged Cotter Dam.

Ray holds a Master of Business Administration, a Diploma in Project Management, and a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil). He is a Member of Engineers Australia and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
