We removed, safely degassed and responsibly recycled more than 14,000 old fridges and freezers from across the Canberra region between 2014 and 2026.
The program was a major success, with the strong community participation highlighting everyone's commitment to sustainability. By removing older, inefficient appliances, we’ve helped reduce household energy use and greenhouse gas emissions.
