If the life support equipment you depend on is electrically operated, the electricity account holder of your place of residence may be entitled to a rebate on the electricity account.
The electricity rebate is calculated on a daily basis and will appear on your bill as a separate line item.
To be eligible for the rebate:
The following electrically operated life support equipment entitles the applicant to an electricity charge rebate:
You may be entitled to a higher rebate if you use a Positive Airways Pressure (PAP) device or oxygen concentrator 24 hours a day. However, your medical practitioner will need to specify 24-hour use of the device on the application form.
To apply, simply print the Life Support Electricity Rebate Application Form, have it completed and authorised by the ActewAGL account holder and a registered medical practitioner and return it to::

Please note
You are required to fill out a new application if you change your address. Applications must be submitted as soon as possible, prior to the issue of the first account on which the rebate is claimed.
GST applies to the balance of your electricity account after the rebate has been deducted.
