Wednesday 18 April 2018

Today at the Capital Football official season launch ActewAGL announced their continuing sponsorship of the Capital Football Junior League.

“For fourteen years we have been the major sponsor of the Under 10’s through to the Under 18’s Junior Leagues. We will continue this long-standing relationship and remain committed to supporting grass roots-sports,” said Paul Walshe, Director Brand, Communications and Corporate Affairs.

“This sponsorship is just one of 20 local and regional NSW junior clubs that we support.

“ActewAGL plays a big role in sponsoring and encouraging our youngsters to get involved in sports clubs that promote inclusion, teamwork and active living.

“The major increase in female participation at the junior league is fantastic, we also sponsor Canberra United who are excellent role models and show that a successful career in football is possible.

“We are really proud of sponsoring grass-roots sport because we know that from little things big things grow, and over the past 14 years Capital Football have seen a marked increase in participation across the junior leagues,” concluded Paul Walshe.

"It is with great pride and excitement that we welcome ActewAGL back for another year as the naming rights sponsor of our Junior League competition,” said Capital Football CEO Phil Brown.

“ActewAGL’s contribution over the years has supported the delivery of competitions to young players in our region. Their ongoing involvement ensures football remains an accessible and inclusive sport for all,” concluded Phil Brown.
