Glossary

What is a glossary?

A glossary is a list of technical or difficult words and their meanings.

The ActewAGL education site's glossary provides a guide to the meanings of words across the energy, water, sustainability and communications areas.

How do I use this glossary?

To find the meaning of a word, you can do any of the following:

Search by word

Type the word in the search box and click the ‘Go’ button.

Search alphabetically

Click on the word’s first letter in the alphabetical menu to see a list of terms beginning with that letter.

Click on the word to view its definition

Special words are also highlighted throughout the website by a green, dotted underline. To read a definition, click on one of these special words and a text box with a short definition will appear. To close the box, click on the cross at the top right corner.

For example: We can describe the sun as a renewable source of energy.
