ACT energy concession
If you hold a current pensioner concession card or Department of Veterans Affairs gold card, you may be eligible for an electricity rebate. The rebate is calculated on a daily basis and will appear on your electricity bill as a separate line item. You must be listed as the current electricity account holder to be eligible.
Eligibility
For each billing period, a rebate from the amount owing for electricity charges in the period concerned will be allowed on the following provisions:
- one rebate only will be allowed in respect of an account for each billing period
- the property to which the account relates is the sole or principal place of residence of the person applying for the rebate
- the person applying for the rebate provides ActewAGL with details of the pensioner concession card issued to the applicant by Centrelink or a gold card (certain types only) by the Department of Veterans' Affairs.

Complete and submit this form to apply.
To complete this form you will need:
- your pensioner number/s
- your pension date of effect
- your ActewAGL electricity account number.
You will need to fill out a new application if you change your address. Applications
must be submitted as soon as possible prior to the issue of the first account
on which the rebate is claimed. Retrospective adjustments will not be made.
Goods and services tax
GST applies to the balance of your electricity account after the rebate has
been deducted.
