Direct debit payment options

What are the payment options?

There are a number of direct debit payment options available for each ActewAGL account. The options are explained below and the chart on the next page shows which options are available for each of your ActewAGL accounts.

Full Pay

The full amount of your ActewAGL account will be deducted from your direct debit account* on the day the payment is due. You will still receive your ActewAGL account for your records.

Depending on the ActewAGL account you want to pay, you can choose Full Pay from your savings/cheque account or from your credit card account.

Even Pay

The annual total of your ActewAGL account is calculated and averaged out on a monthly or fortnightly basis and deducted from your direct debit account*. For example, if your annual account is $1,200 and you want your direct debit payments deducted monthly through Even Pay, you will pay $100 each month for 12 months. If your annual usage varies, ActewAGL may re-calculate your monthly or fortnightly payment amount and adjust your deductions accordingly. ActewAGL will notify you in writing of the changed amount.

Budget Pay

You set the amount you want to have deducted from your direct debit account* on a monthly or fortnightly basis and you pay the outstanding balance on the day the payment is due. For example, if you choose to have $100 per month deducted from your direct debit account* and your quarterly electricity account is $350 you will already have paid $300 via direct debit so you will only have to pay the difference of $50 on the date the payment is due. If your account is in credit at the end of the quarter, the amount will be deducted from your next electricity account.

* Your "direct debit account" is the savings/cheque account or credit card account you want your payment(s) deducted from.
