Green choices for your home
There are two ways to buy Greenchoice. You can either opt for a fixed amount each day or a variable amount based on a percentage of the electricity you use. Either way, you will help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by increasing the amount of electricity generated from 'green' sources.
Percentage-based option
This option is available to ActewAGL customers. This means you choose what percentage of your ActewAGL electricity account will be offset by green sources. The 200% plan puts you in ‘carbon credit’ to help offset other environmental impacts, like your car. In this case, the cost for Greenchoice will vary each quarter, depending on your total electricity use.
