Green choices for your home
There are two ways to buy Greenchoice. You can either opt for a fixed amount each day or a variable amount based on a percentage of the electricity you use. In either case, that amount of new renewable energy is added to the electricity grid on your behalf. This helps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions associated with the generation of electricity from fossil fuels.
Percentage-based option
This option is only available to ActewAGL electricity customers. You choose what percentage of your ActewAGL electricity bill will be displaced by electricity sourced from accredited GreenPower generators. For percentage based plans, the cost for Greenchoice will vary each quarter, depending on your total electricity use.
