Solar connection
Solar connection generating installations must comply with
all statutory requirements and standards. ActewAGL must approve the installation
of the inverter and protection equipment prior to installation. The customer
then needs to make provisions for metering equipment suitable for the purpose
of the installation. All wiring must meet the requirements of the ACT Planning and Land Authority.
The method of connection will depend on the metering arrangements. There are certain steps of protection that are required. Testing must be completed before final approval, which needs to be provided to ActewAGL. The customer must install clear and indelible labelling on all relevant parts of the installation.
For more information see Service and installation rules for connection to the electricity distribution network (683k) (Acrobat Reader required).
You can download the Solar Connection request form (485k) (Acrobat Reader required).
Installers or the electrical contractor will also need to download the Request of service form (436k) (Acrobat Reader required).
