The natural water cycle

View the water cycle

How old do you think your tap water is?

The answer is, as old as the earth itself.

Water flows through an ongoing cycle, called the water cycle. This is the continuous movement of water between the land, oceans and the atmosphere.

Water is always cycling around, through, and above the earth. As it flows through the cycle, water changes from liquid to gas or ice and back to liquid water.
