Ric's involvement in the formation of the Australian Building Energy Council, the development of its Building Energy Code, and his chairmanship of the Royal Australian Institute of Architect's National Environment Committee, have given him a national profile in environmentally sustainable and low-energy buildings. Ric's role as chair of the Housing Institute of Australia's Environment Planning and Development Committee has seen Ric's involvement in the development of a National Planning and Development Code for Australia.
