2005 - 2002

Continue to design gardens incorporating latest landscape ideas from overseas. Inspection of arboreta in Holland. Visited England and Belgium.

2002

United Kingdom and Holland – met with gold medal winning garden designers at Chelsea Flower Show. Discussed landscape designs at Dutch Floriade and Arboretum at Rotterdam. Inspected the new National Botanic Gardens of Wales (featuring Australian tree and shrub displays).

2001 - 1998

Continued to design gardens and horticultural consultations, specialising in residential, small commercial gardens, acres and country properties.

1998

UK and Holland – inspected winter gardens and the latest computer technology for garden design. Completed major landscape designs for the main street of Yass and The Canberra Times gardens.

1994 - 1998

Commissions for garden designs throughout the ACT, Yass, Moruya, Sydney, The Blue Mountains and Cooma.

1994

England – discussions with BALI (British Association of Landscape Industries) to inspect projects started in 1992. Holland – discussions with leading landscape designers and visited garden centre display gardens.

1992

Holland and England – discussions with the Landscape Industry Association on the latest trends in landscape design. Inspections of gardens by gold medal winners from The Chelsea Flower Show for excellence in landscape and garden design.

1991

Opened Garden Design Studio in Watson, Canberra with a demonstration and display garden for inspection by my clients. Landscape design for National Film and Sound Archive.

1990

England – continued horticultural consulting commenced in 1989 for both retail garden centres and wholesale nurseries. Work also undertaken for private gardens both in NSW and the ACT.

1989

England – for consultancy commissions for retail and wholesale nurseries and private gardens in the United Kingdom. Designed gardens in NSW and the ACT.

1988 - 1999

Studied garden design in England with John Brookes. Brookes is considered one of the most influential garden designers in Britain. These studies included inspections and assessments of garden design in both England and Northern France.

1979 - 1988

Owner of award winning Bryant's Yass Nursery and Herb Gardens of Aberlour.
