Battery storage

Get more out of your solar and save with battery storage

A solar system can already save you anywhere up to 65% on your electricity bill each year. With the addition of a battery, your savings could increase to up to 80%.

We’re proud to be playing a leading role in the emerging energy storage market, having been selected to participate in the ACT Government’s Next Generation Energy Storage Pilot. Under the program, Canberra residents can now benefit from subsidised energy storage solutions.

What is battery storage?

A battery works in conjunction with your solar system. It stores the excess energy your solar system is generating during the day so that you can use it at night.

Instead of feeding the excess energy you generate during the day back into the electricity grid, your solar panels use that excess energy to charge the battery. The battery gets charged during the day when the sun is shining, and then the stored energy can be used during the evening, which reduces the amount of electricity you must pay for.

Battery storage is a natural extension to our solar product and will enable you to take full advantage of your solar energy system.

The image below demonstrates how energy is transferred from the solar panels and stored in the battery, to be used in the home or exported back to the grid.
