Time of use rate for electricity

The Time of Use (TOU) rate can provide your business with significant savings on your electricity account.

The TOU rate takes into account a business's operational times and the charges vary for business times, evening times, and off-peak times.

It is particularly suited to businesses that operate outside the peak trading times of 7:00am to 5:00pm (AEST) from Monday to Friday (ACT public holidays not included), using above average amounts of off-peak energy.

The types of businesses most suited to the TOU rate include bakeries, clubs, fast food outlets, restaurants, service stations, supermarkets, and businesses that operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

High voltage TOU demand charge may be available to consumers taking supply at a nominal voltage not less than 11,000 volts.
