Time of use meters

Time of use (TOU) meters have been installed on the ActewAGL network since 2007.

All customers connecting new premises will be provided with a TOU meter. This does not mean that you are required to have a TOU account — you may choose an alternative pricing plan for your TOU meter. However, TOU rates can be cheaper for many customers than the tariffs previously assigned to new customers.

Where a customer moves into an existing premises with a TOU meter, the tariff applying to that premises is likely to be the same tariff as the previous customer in that premises. Learn how to read your TOU meter and how TOU rates work.
