Terms and conditions - Natural Gas Rewards

The following Terms and Conditions apply to the Natural Gas Rewards card offer (“Offer”).

  1. Information on how to participate in this Offer form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. This Offer is not valid in conjunction with any other offer.
  2. These Terms and Conditions apply to the offer of a $400^ or $800 EFTPOS Gift Card (Natural Gas Rewards EFTPOS gift card) when Eligible Individuals satisfy the requirements outlined in these Terms and Conditions. The Natural Gas Rewards EFTPOS gift card can be used as a gift card anywhere EFTPOS cards are accepted at point-of-sale.
  3. The Promoter is ActewAGL Distribution ABN 76 670 568 688 (AAD), a partnership of Icon Distribution Investments Limited (ABN 83 073 025 224) and Jemena Networks (ACT) (ABN 24 008 552 663), of ActewAGL House 40 Bunda Street Canberra ACT 2600 through its service provider, Jemena Asset Management Pty Ltd (ACN 086 013 431) (Promoter).
  4. The Natural Gas Rewards EFTPOS gift card is issued by iGODirect Group Pty Ltd ABN 17 110 897 320. Terms and conditions apply, visit https://naturalgascashback.com.au/act/ for details.
  5. This Offer consists of the following Natural Gas Rewards:
    a) one (1) $800 EFTPOS gift card (Natural Gas Rewards EFTPOS gift card) when an eligible individual purchases and installs a natural gas whole-of-home ducted system; or
    b) one (1) $400 EFTPOS gift card (Natural Gas Rewards EFTPOS gift card) when an eligible individual purchases and installs a natural gas 5 or 6 star high efficiency ducted unit as a replacement for an old whole-of-house ducted gas system; or
    c) one (1) $400 EFTPOS gift card (Natural Gas Rewards EFTPOS gift card) when an eligible individual purchases and installs a flued gas heater; or
    d) one (1) $400^ EFTPOS gift card (Natural Gas Rewards EFTPOS gift card) when an eligible individual purchases and installs a new natural gas hot water appliance as a replacement of an existing non-gas hot water system.
  6. This Offer is available to residential customers aged 18 years or over only and who live within the ActewAGL Distribution gas networks region in ACT/NSW and satisfy the purchase/installation requirements set out in these Terms and Conditions.
  7. ^Residents of Nowra NSW can claim a $400 EFTPOS gift card when an Eligible Individual purchases and installs a new natural gas hot water appliance as a replacement of an existing non-gas hot water system.
  8. Eligible purchases must take place between 1 April 2017 and 31 August 2017 for Natural Gas hot water, ducted heating and flued heating and the installation must take place by 30 September 2017. Online claim forms must be submitted by 15 October2017 (Offer Period). Claim forms will not be accepted after 15 October 2017. This includes all re-submissions or previously rejected claims.
  9. The Eligible Gas Heating Appliance must be installed at a residential address within the ActewAGL Distribution gas networks region.
  10. Individuals who make a purchase/installation of whole-of-home ducted systems for government projects, new homes, commercial projects, property developments will be ineligible to participate or claim. Claims will not be accepted on back-ordered or forward-ordered products or inability of the approved gas specialist to undertake the installation within the Offer Period for any reason.
  11. A maximum of two (2) Natural Gas Rewards EFTPOS gift cards per residence will be provided unless the Promoter, at its sole discretion, decides to increase the maximum per residence.
  12. The Natural Gas Rewards claims for whole-of-home heating are limited to the first 500 claims received or until the expiry of the Offer Period (whichever occurs first).
  13. Once an approved gas specialist has installed the whole-of-home ducted system, the gas specialist will then assist the individual by providing a copy of the completed Gas Compliance Certificate and a copy of the Sales Invoice (or receipt of purchase). If needed, they will also assist the individual in claiming via the Promoter’s online claims process. Claims are to be lodged via www.actewagl.com.au/gasrewards
  14. Once the installation of the Eligible Gas Heating Appliance or is complete, in order to claim a Natural Gas Rewards card, Eligible Individuals must log on to www.actewagl.com.au/gasrewards and complete and submit the online claim form by 15 October 2017.
  15. The Eligible Individual will need to submit the following in/with the online claim form: the gas meter number, installer business name, old and new appliance details (i.e. details of old heater and new heater), a copy of the Gas Compliance Certificate and a copy of the Sales Invoice (receipt of purchase) as proof of purchase. Claims will be reviewed and customers will be contacted to confirm the claim. Upon submitting a valid claim form, the Eligible Individual will receive a Natural Gas Rewards EFTPOS gift card in the post to the nominated installation address, within 15 working days. To activate the Natural Gas Rewards EFTPOS gift card once it is received, the individual must phone 1800 427 608 or go to https://naturalgascashback.com.au/act/
  16. Once the installation of the Eligible Gas Hot Water Appliance is complete, in order to claim a Natural Gas Rewards card, Eligible Individuals must log on to www.actewagl.com.au/gasrewards and complete and submit the online claim form by 15 October 2017. The Eligible Individual will need to submit the following in/with the online claim form: the campaign number (this will be provided by the Gas Specialist), meter number, installer business name, old and new appliance details (i.e. details of old heater and new heater), a copy of the Gas Compliance Certificate and a copy of the Sales Invoice (receipt of purchase) as proof of purchase. Claims will be reviewed and customers will be contacted to confirm the claim. Upon submitting a valid claim form, the Eligible Individual will receive a Natural Gas Rewards EFTPOS gift card in the post to the nominated installation address, within 15 working days.   17. Eligible Individuals acknowledge and agree that the Promoter has no control over the process time for the Natural Gas Rewards EFTPOS gift cards to be activated and that activation may take longer than the expected timeframe.
  18. Natural Gas Rewards EFTPOS gift cards include GST.
  19. Online claim forms for Eligible Gas Heating Appliance must be submitted by 15 October 2017. Claim forms will not be accepted after 15 October 2017. This includes all re-submissions or previously rejected claims. The Promoter will not be responsible to the individual for non-activated Natural Gas Rewards cards or expired cards.
  20. Online claim forms for Eligible Gas Hot Water Appliance must be submitted by 15 October 2017. Claim forms will not be accepted after 15 October 2017. This includes all re-submissions or previously rejected claims. The Promoter will not be responsible to the individual for non-activated Natural Gas Rewards cards or expired cards.
  21. The Promoter will post the Natural Gas Rewards EFTPOS gift card to the installation address provided on the online claim form. The Promoter takes no responsibility for Natural Gas Rewards EFTPOS gift cards not received.
  22. Customers will be disqualified from this offer if they fail to comply with any of the specified Terms and Conditions. By making a claim, all individuals agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
  23. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the Offer and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers and reward suppliers. Claims are conditional on providing this information. The Promoter is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). The Promoter’s full privacy policy can be viewed at www.actewagl.com.au/privacy All claims become the property of the Promoter.
  24. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of claims and individuals (including an individual’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any individual who submits a claim that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the claim process. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
  25. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  26. If for any reason an Eligible Individual does not claim their Natural Gas Rewards EFTPOS gift card during the Offer Period, their eligibility for a Natural Gas Rewards EFTPOS gift card will be forfeited. The Natural Gas Rewards EFTPOS gift card must be activated by the expiry date shown on the card. Natural Gas EFTPOS gift cards will not be activated after their expiry date.
  27. If a Natural Gas Rewards EFTPOS gift card is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute a substitute reward to equal value.
  28. If this Offer is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as anticipated by the Promoter due to any cause beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any individual; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the Offer, as appropriate.
  29. Any cost associated with accessing the offer’s website is the individual’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used.
  30. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the States and Territories of Australia (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Offer.
  31. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any cause beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in reward value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by an individual; or (f) use/taking of/redemption of a reward.
  32. As a condition of claiming a Natural Gas Rewards EFTPOS gift card, each Eligible Individual must accept the card terms and conditions of iGODirect Group Pty Ltd.
