CNG refuelling emergency procedures

In the case of an emergency at the CNG refuelling station, you should follow the instructions outlined below as applicable.

An emergency information poster can be found inside the pay station at the Canberra refuelling station. Users of the refuelling station are also provided with a copy of this poster.

  • Remove people from the immediate danger area
  • Alert all occupants
    • Activate 'Red break glass alarm'
    • Dial 000 (112 on your mobile) — ACT Fire Brigade
  • Confine the fire
    • Activate one of the 3 'Gas emergency stop' buttons shown on the station site map
  • Evacuate to a safe area
    • Relocate upwind to an external assembly area (refer to station site map)
  • Remove people from the immediate danger area

  • Alert all occupants
    • Activate 'Red break glass alarm'
    • Dial 000 (112 on your mobile) — ACT Fire Brigade
  • Evacuate to a safe area
    • Relocate upwind to an external assembly area (refer to station site map)

If your vehicle does not open the automatic gate, press the green emergency exit button on the the orange stand near the driveway. Both gates will open.

In case of complete power failure to site, the exit gate opens on battery backup.
