Demand management incentive scheme

What is the Demand Management Incentive Scheme?

To help customers improve the quality of electricity supply at their premises and reduce energy costs, ActewAGL Distribution has launched a Demand Management Incentive Scheme (DMIS). For a limited time, if eligible customers install Power Factor Correction (PFC) equipment at their premises ActewAGL will provide a rebate towards the cost of the equipment and installation.

What is PFC equipment?

Power Factor Correction (PFC) equipment sometimes called capacitor banks, reduces peak demand on the electricity network, improves the quality of electricity supply at your premises and  will also help customers save on the maximum demand network component of their electricity bill.

The PFC equipment is housed in a metal cabinet, similar to the one that houses an electrical switchboard, and is often located in or near the main switch room.

More information about DMIS terms and conditions, eligibility and how the rebate works is included in the Power Factor Correction factsheet.
