ActewAGL's safety advice

In times of emergency we may need fast access to gas, water and electrical equipment on your property. If access is blocked, extended service interruptions like blackouts can result.

So help us keep your services on by allowing a 1.5 metre clearance in all directions around gas, water and electricity meters and electrical substations and mini pillars.

Our network infrastructure can be found overhead, underground and at ground level. Utility infrastructure includes things like powerlines and poles, substations, mini pillars, meters, manholes, pipes, cables, connections and regulators, to name a few. Make sure you understand your legal responsibilities in preventing damage to our utility networks and keeping our infrastructure clear of all obstructions — including trees and other vegetation.
