Recycled wastewater
The recycling of wastewater is a complex process. ActewAGL is a leader in the treatment and recycling of wastewater through our treatment plant at the Lower Molonglo Water Quality Control Centre (LWMQCC).
Recycling wastewater is important because:
-
it reduces the burden on the main sewerage system
-
less fresh water is needed to meet the needs of the community
-
it keeps costs down for account holders
-
the need to find new water supplies for growing populations can be delayed.
