Supporting community events is a major way we show our support for the community.

Through our community sponsorship program, ActewAGL sponsors a number of community events and provides sponsorship assistance to over 150 charities, schools, community groups, sporting teams and businesses throughout the capital region.

ActewAGL can also provide in-kind sponsorship rather than direct cash support, such as providing electricity, natural gas or even our Greenchoice.

You can even power your next event with a green energy sponsorship from ActewAGL. Whether it is a football match, a live concert, a festival or a local market, ActewAGL can ensure all electricity used for the event is purchased and sourced from accredited GreenPower generators.

In addition to providing financial support each year in community sponsorships, ActewAGL takes a hands-on approach by investing time, resources and expertise into many of its partnerships. This includes organising and working at events, driving fundraising campaigns and generating publicity. These range from various events at the National Gallery of Australia, Floriade and the Narooma Oyster Festival through to the Royal Canberra Show, the National Multicultural Festival, the Great Aussie Day Breakfast and the Women's Golf Classic.
