Choosing natural gas hot water makes a lot of sense
Did you know that water heating uses 25 per cent of an average household’s energy*. Gas instantaneous water systems are ideal for small to medium households and gas boosted systems will keep up the hot water supply when there’s not enough sunlight to do the job. For large households, a gas storage system provides similar performance to an instantaneous system.
Choose your natural gas hot water appliance
When choosing the right type of hot water system, consider the number of outlets and people in your household, the upfront and ongoing costs, and how much space you have.
Often the cheapest appliances are the most expensive to run. Hot water is one of the greatest energy users in the home so use star ratings as a guide, look for rebates available on energy efficient systems and choose wisely to keep your costs down.
Gas appliances with a high star rating for maximum energy efficiency and those with thermostatic control allow you to select the exact temperature you need, where you need it.
