Water quality due to dormant pipes

ACT schools may find upon reopening for the school year that there is a temporary water quality issue due to water sitting in pipes over the extended holiday break. This issue can be addressed by flushing the internal plumbing by running taps for a short period of time. Water can be conserved by placing a bucket underneath the running tap.
If there are any water quality concerns after flushing, please call ActewAGL’s faults and emergencies line on 13 11 93.
